At the Chamonix workshop it was decided to run the LHC for 18-24 months at 7 TeV. At the end of this time there will be a long shutdown for necessary accelerator work in order to reach 14 TeV. The LHC is still scheduled to restart in mid-February. Click on Full Article for more information.
