From snesarev@mail.cern.ch Thu Jun 30 03:24:45 2011 Date: Thu, 30 Jun 2011 12:24:33 +0200 From: Andrei Snesarev To: 'John Rutherfoord' Subject: RE: Electrodes Dear John, The information about produced electrodes you need to know: Due to the lack of the material (etched Cu-clad Kapton) we have used what we had and some electrodes have a potential problems. PAD1N - (crumpled Copper Clad Kapton, almost straightened after pressing)- Small probability of HV problem in cold. PAD2D PAD3D PAD4C PAD5C - (slight tear in HV notch, partly glued up after pressing)- Possible HV problem in cold. EST11N EST22N EST31D EST42D EST51D EST62D - small protection zone in non-pinned notches-mistake when cutting) Very small probability of HV problem. EST71C EST82C EST91C EST102C N- normal conditions (room temperature ~20C and humidity ~50%) D- all components dried in vacuum 24 h. C- combo (dried in vacuum 24 h. + wetted by distilled water 24 h.) Combo EST's consists of: Front CLK(dry)/glue/Kapton/glue/Rear CLK (wet) Combo PAD's consists of: Front CLK (dry)/glue/Copper Clad Kapton(dry)/ Glue/Kapton(wet)/glue/Rear CLK (wet) All electrodes have passed through the short HV test - 1 min., 2,5 kV. If you will have the questions better contact me before 09.07. I'll be in vacation up to September and will read the mail not every day. Best regards, Andrei. Dear Andrei, Great, I'll look forward to seeing you then. Best regards, John R.
